Apart from learning different applications of Technology, my ten years of work experience in the IT Services industry has given me opportunities to travel to different parts of the world and interact with a diverse group of people. - Volunteering in Summer Camps and Community Centers to expose children to coding and other playful activities
- Belong to a Weaving Community that encourages indigenous and non-indigenous group of Weavers to weave and share thoughts.
USA
- Volunteering at the New York Maker Faire
- Organizing work stations for children at the Silver Spring Mini Maker Faire, Maryland
- Contributing to the One Laptop Per Child project by helping in the translations from English to Bengali
- Volunteering to set up the Kid Museum, a special kind of museum that offered a Maker Space to the children of elementary and middle schools
- Co-ordinating and facilitating some of the outreach events and projects exhibited at the Hour of Code, Garrett Park Elementary School; Teen Techathon, Martin Luther King Jr. Public Library DC; Hour of Code at the White House; H2O Summit; Imagination Stage etc.
- Helping Team ROAR - a group of boys to come into mainstream education through Scratch programming at workshops.
- Volunteering to co-found Washington DC's first Scratch Educator Meet up in collaboration with the Ed School at Harvard University, the Scratch Foundation and Kid Museum. It's a free event and held every month at the Kid Museum to help Educators and Scratchers of the local area exchange ideas around a programming language for children called Scratch
- As an elected member of the Charity Drive Committee of my ex-employer Legal & General America I volunteered to raise funds, organize events, design flyers and involve employees of the organization. The amount raised was donated partly to the Unsung K9 Hero dogs of Frederick County Maryland and partly to the Jacob's Ride Foundation, a non-profit organization who helped implement successful cocchlear implant for two deaf children

- Volunteering to teach at Surya Kiran, an evening school for children who could not afford to go to a day school and either had to look after siblings or go to work during the day
- Volunteering to teach Math to Grade-5 students in a school called Notun Path, run by the WeCare Foundation
