Community Work
Some of the volunteering experiences and part-time appointments, associated with Social Development, Learning Sciences and Children's Education worldwide, are summarized below: -
- I collaborated with the Lifelong Kindergarten group at M.I.T. Media Lab, Cambridge, U.S.A. (Oct 2018 - Feb 2019) based on an invitation received from them to manage their online community of learners, educators and creative designers, facilitating discussions, brainstorming ideas and sharing encouragement and feedback.
- I worked as a Behavior Interventionist for BridgeKids Behavioral Consulting, Canada, Richmond (May 2018 - Nov 2018), assisting Autistic children with their education through Technology and Behavioral practices. Significant amount of improvement was observed in the behavior of children towards the end of my sessions. Some of them learnt how to express their knowledge gained from time to time by creating interesting visuals and stories using programming in Scratch.
- I carried out an independent research in India during the transition from USA to Canada, in order to help address a social concern for children by the use of Technology. In February 2018, the compiled work was selected in the form of a poster by M.I.T. Media Lab, Cambridge, U.S.A. and in July 2018, the same was presented at the Scratch Conference.
- I was one of the co-founders of DC’s First Scratch Educator Meetup in collaboration with Harvard Graduate School of Education, Scratch Foundation and the Kid Museum, Feb 2017.
- I also worked as a Maker Educator at Kid Museum, Bethesda, Maryland, U.S.A. (Jul 2013 - Jun 2017).
- I taught children in evening schools in India namely - Surya Kiran School, Kolkata (founded by Kalyan Bharti Trust) and Mojaru founded by WeCare foundation, Kolkata, West Bengal.

- Chairman’s Community Award Nominee for the year Jan 2015. Legal & General America, U.S.A. nominated me in the category of "Inspiring Young People" which was followed by an invitation to the headquarters of L&G Group PLC, London, U.K.
- Received an invitation to the Hour of Code event held at the White House, Washington D.C., U.S.A, in the year Dec 2014, by Cara Lesser, C.E.O., Kid Museum, to demonstrate creative coding projects for children.
